Promotion rules and compliance
Affiliate link cloaking
Affiliate link cloaking usually means presenting a shorter or branded URL that redirects to an affiliate tracking destination. Implementations range from simple redirects to link-management tools.
What to check
Redirect behaviour, destination integrity, disclosure obligations and applicable search-engine rules for affiliate links.
Common misconception
A cloaked URL should not mislead users or be used to evade programme restrictions.
